the 80's Micheal A. Stinson attends the University of Alaska at Fairbanks, majoring
in sculpture, and winning every available award. His sculptures readily encompass
and interpret the symbols of the many cultures which pool in a town considered
to be the "Crossroads of the World" due to the conjunction of airlines
delivering goods from Europe and Asia. Living in
the bush for two summers. he learns much about native art, symbols and stories
from those who people the Great land. Joining the
computer revolution, he soon creates online animations and cartoons that thrill
millions of international visitors. In 2000 his work,
"Symbolman: Boy meets Girl," wins the Best Animated Graphics Award in
Hollywood, California, topping over 640 animators worldwide at an event sponsored
by Shockwave.com, and Animation Magazine.
